2012 Hike For The Homeless

Accountability

No donation is too small.

Every single source of funding, from $25 for one bed night from a concerned local citizen to $16,000 from a local business enterprise is important and necessary towards achieving our primary goal of protecting the most vulnerable of our homeless community members from harm or even death during Flagstaff’s frigid winter months.

Increasing cash reserves means helping more homeless.

In 2006, our first fiscal year of operations, FSS had a net income of $3,479. During that time period we collaborated with three different local non-profits to operate a six week emergency shelter providing approximately 1400 bed nights.

In only our fifth year of operations, we have increased our overnight services, providing over 7800 bed nights in a winter season to over 400 different individuals.

In our new location, we will have space available to serve more clients overnight.  We anticipate an 80% increase in our bed nights over the 2012-2013 winter season.
